Job summary

JBS Pork Australia is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Technician for our Corowa site (NSW). This full‑time position reports to the maintenance supervisor to support production, quality, and safety targets across the plant.

The role delivers mechanical tests, data analysis, and assembly/installations to support Mechanical Engineers and Technologists, with an annual salary above $79,423 plus superannuation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience within the meat industry advantageous.
• Sound knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics, plus basic electrics and welding skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated continuous improvement approach.
• Ability to support a broad variety of mechanical work.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate at all levels.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring maximum equipment uptime by providing effective and efficient mechanical preventative and breakdown maintenance.
• Engaging in fabrication, installation and repair of mechanical machines, instruments or appliances.
• Ensuring that all work is carried out to the Company requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations.
• Utilising fault-finding to troubleshoot and rectify problems.

About the Role JBS Pork Australia is currently recruiting a passionate Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our Corowa site (NSW). Reporting to the maintenance supervisor, this is a pivot position within the maintenance team to provide maintenance support to all areas across the plant to ensure the attainment of Production, Quality/FSQA, and Workplace Health and Safety requirements and objectives.

This is a full-time position with the annual salary more than $79,423 plus superannuation. Your key responsibilities will include: Conducts tests of mechanical systems, collects and analyses data, and assembles and installs mechanical assemblies in support of Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Technologists.
