Job summary

Australian Industry Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre is offering an apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering at Wingfield, SA. You will learn to operate lathe, milling, and CNC equipment, and gain hands-on experience in manufacturing precision components for the oil and gas industry.

Training includes a national Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering, all PPE provided, and ongoing support from a dedicated consultant; access to the Apprenticeship Support Loan to help with living expenses.

Qualifications

• Year 12 completion required.
• Australian Citizenship or permanent residency to work in Australia.
• Driver’s Licence and reliable transport.
• Excellent attention to detail, numeracy and literacy skills.

About The Role

Start your career in Mechanical Engineering with an industry-leading, Australian-owned company specialising in advanced drilling technology. Through this apprenticeship, you’ll learn how to machine, maintain and repair downhole tools used by some of the world’s largest oil and gas companies.

Skills

You’ll be trained in a supportive, safety-focused workshop environment while developing skills in a highly in-demand trade. Day to day, you’ll gain hands‑on experience using industry-standard tools and equipment, including:

• Learning to operate advanced machinery such as lathes, milling machines and CNC equipment
• Manufacturing and maintaining precision components used in the oil and gas industry

Location: Wingfield

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 6.00am to 2.00pm
