Job summary

Solar Mechancial Services Pty Ltd in Dubbo, NSW is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the planning, engineering, installation and delivery of mechanical systems across renewable energy projects. Reporting to the project leadership team, you will work with construction managers, engineers and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient execution.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience, strong analytical skills,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in mechanical engineering, construction, renewable energy projects.
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings, designs and technical specifications.
• Experience supporting mechanical installation, commissioning, inspection and quality assurance activities.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and WHS requirements.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and oversee installation of mechanical systems on renewable energy projects.
• Review drawings, specs, and construction documents.
• Determine materials, equipment, and installation methods.
• Support installation and commissioning of solar tracking systems.
• Conduct calculations and constructability reviews.
• Inspect installations for compliance with designs and standards.
• Maintain quality records and project documentation.
• Coordinate with managers, suppliers, and subcontractors on technical matters.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and quality requirements are met.
