Job summary

Waterco is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join our Sydney area head office in Rydalmere. You will take products from concept through design, prototyping, testing and release, supporting global customers and production teams.

You will design new products, develop 3D models, build prototypes, run tests, ensure compliance, and collaborate with sales, quality and manufacturing. A 5+ year track record in mechanical design, CAD skills and DFx know-how are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Around 5+ years' experience in product design, R&D or engineering.
• Strong 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks, Inventor or similar) and sound drafting knowledge (GD&T).
• Hands-on approach to building, testing and problem solving.
• Experience with plastic or metal component design, pumps, valves, fluid systems or hydraulics will be highly regarded.
• Clear communication and documentation skills, and comfort working across teams.
• Full working rights in Australia.

This is a practical, hands-on role where you will see your work go into products used by customers around the world.

Key responsibilities

Salary of $100,000 – $120,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience
