Job summary

AQUA-TEC FLUID SYSTEMS PTY LTD in Melbourne's Southbank is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to deliver pressure sewer system projects and provide design documentation in line with Australian standards. You will design and check drawings, coordinate with the Design Team and stakeholders, and help maintain the design library as part of ongoing digital transformation.

Ideal candidate holds an Engineering degree (Mechanical preferred) and has at least 2 years of relevant experience, with strong CAD

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience with design documentation and drawing standards.
• Familiarity with Australian standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare designs and drawings to meet deliverable requirements.
• Ensure project documentation complies with client, water authority, local council and Australian standards.
• Safety in Design and Aquatec Health & Safety system requirements.
• Meet planned milestones and provide updates as projects evolve.
• Quote task lead times to support forecasting and provide daily updates.
• Facilitate cooperation between Design Team and project stakeholders.
• Maintain the Aquatec design library and document numbering system.
• Contribute to Aquatec Digital Transformation and process improvements.
• Provide quality checking, reporting and lifecycle assessment of projects.

Salary : $80,000 - $90,000 a year Aquatec Fluid Systems are a leading water innovation partner to the water and wastewater industries. They provide turn-key systems for a wide range of environmental sewerage & water infrastructure solutions, including large scale developments, councils, water authorities.

Aquatec Fluid Systems is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their team. The role will form a key part on delivery of the pressure sewer systems and provide technical and documentation services to this department Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare designs and documentation in the form of drawings to meet technical deliverable requirements. Ensuring project documentation complies with client, water authority, local council and Australian standards and specifications. Safety in Design and requirements of the Aquatec Health & Safety system

Meet planned milestones so that agreed deadlines are maintained. Quote task lead times to support the delivery forecasting schedule and provide daily live updates as projects and priorities evolve. Facilitate cooperation between Design Team resources and proactively collaborate on technical aspects with project stakeholders at all levels as required.

Maintain the Aquatec design library: Models, blocks, favorites and drawing templates, data, and document numbering system. Contributing to Aquatec Digital Transformation. Develop systems and processes for the purpose of improving efficiency and maintaining industry leading status.

Providing quality checking, reporting and assessment of projects throughout the lifecycle Qualification, Experience and Skills: Degree qualified in Engineering (Ideally Mechanical)

At least 2 years of relevant experience Accurate design intent and CAD proficiency Experience working with CAD tools in a production capacity

Experience Innovating and developing systems and processes for the purpose of improving efficiency and maintaining industry leading status Understanding of machining, fabrication, pipe and fittings standards and the use of materials The ability to identify problems at an early stage through design interrogation.
