Aquatec Maxcon Pty is seeking an experienced design engineer in Ipswich to plan, program and lead the drafting process for water and wastewater plant projects. You will review layouts and drawings to ensure high-quality deliverables, manage schedules and resources across offices, and sign off on technical design with a strong emphasis on safety and standards compliance.

Responsabilités

• Plan and program the design process to ensure stakeholders act in a timely manner and within budget.
• Review plant layout, mechanical, structural and piping drawings for high quality deliverables for proposals and delivery.
• Work on challenging projects as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering ingenuity in design.
• Manage scheduling of work, priorities, resources across multiple offices locally and internationally.
• Provide QA and design sign-off from technical completeness to conformance with standards.
• Ensure deliverables and documentation are clear for detailing and fabrication.

As a part of the Aquatec Maxcon team, you'll join a group of passionate professionals who work safely, and responsibly to deliver world class solutions to exciting new projects. This role offers the opportunity to work in a diverse engineering department, facing challenges of designing and providing solutions that makea real difference to the water industry.

You will

Plan and program the design process to ensure all stakeholders act in a timely manner and in accordance with the agreed schedule and budget

Review plant layout, mechanical, structural and piping drawings to ensure high quality deliverables forproposals and delivery for applications, upgrade and creation of client’s water and wastewater assets, with a particular focus on water and waste water treatment plants.

Work on challenging projects as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering "ingenuity in design"

Manage scheduling of work, priorities, resource requirementsacross multiple offices both local and internationally based

Provide quality assurance and design engineering sign off and approve drawings from the points of view of; technical completeness, clarity, conformance with standards, dimensional accuracy and the correct specification of materials.

Ensure the deliverables and associated documentation are presented in a clear and concise package to enable ease of detailing and fabrication.

Engage in risk assessments and actively participate in safety reviews and HAZOPs and safety in design

Manage a team of drafting and documentation experts

Delivery drafting outputs in a timely manner

Applicants will ideally have

Experience in leading and managing technical/project teams and working on multi-disciplinary projects

Tertiary qualifications in either Structural/Civil or Mechanical Drafting

Minimum of 5 years Australian design engineering experience

Experience in driving continuous improvements in digital drafting operations

A knowledge of major Australian Standards for design of steel structures.

Previous experience working in treatment plant design

Working with water and waste water treatment projects and government municipalities will be well regarded

Ability to occasionally travel to off-shore design offices
