Job summary

Walco Aluminium in Granville, NSW, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for a permanent, full-time role in a hands-on manufacturing environment. You will support production operations, review processes and contribute to continuous improvement across machinery and equipment.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) and at least five years of relevant experience, with strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Walco Aluminium is an established Australian-owned manufacturer specialising in quality aluminium windows, doors, screens and shopfronts for commercial and residential projects. We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Granville on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a hands-on engineering role within a manufacturing environment, providing an opportunity to work across production processes, machinery, equipment and continuous improvement initiatives.

About the role:

• Provide mechanical engineering support across manufacturing operations

About you

To be successful in this position, you will have:

• At least a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience
• Strong mechanical engineering and problem-solving skills
• Experience in a manufacturing, production or industrial environment
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A practical, hands-on and solutions-focused approach

Experience within aluminium manufacturing, fabrication, building products or a similar production environment would be highly regarded. An attractive remuneration package between $79,000 - $80,000 will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
