Job summary

Zerra is developing and operating hyperscale data centre campuses across Australia, with Western Downs Digital Park (WDDP) in regional Queensland as a flagship project. The Design Manager - Mechanical will lead design management, QA/QC, and be the mechanical SME across the project lifecycle, reporting to the Technical Director.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Chartered status preferred.
• 10+ years of mechanical design or design-management experience in hyperscale facilities.
• Strong knowledge of Australian mechanical and building-services codes and standards.
• Experience with cooling, ventilation, hydraulics and controls in data centres.
• Ability to communicate with consultants and senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design management and QA/QC for WDDP.
• Review and ensure compliance with Zerra standards and Australian codes.
• Audit designs for inconsistencies and interface risks.
• Coordinate design interfaces across multi-discipline teams.
• Support design guidelines and project gating reviews.
• Travel regularly to WDDP and other project locations.
