Mission Critical Recruiting in Melbourne is seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to lead full lifecycle commissioning for large data centre facilities. You will coordinate and execute commissioning across HVAC, chilled water, BMS and related systems.

You will work in a fast-paced environment with strong communication skills to present complex ideas to non-technical audiences, and you will need full working rights in Australia. Salary offers range from $120k to $150k plus super and bonus.

Qualifications

• Mechanically qualified (trade or tertiary).
• Commissioning experience in complex or critical environments.
• Background could be in pharmaceutical, hospitals, airports, universities or industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

MCR are recruiting a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to work on large, high profile data centre commissioning projects in Melbourne.

The nature of this role is to provide engineering and technical support to plan, schedule, coordinate and execute full life cycle commissioning of critical data centre facilities. You will be involved in all stages of commissioning, from early design, managing commissioning scripts, witness testing through to project handover.

You’ll work across complex mechanical systems including:

• Chilled water and cooling systems
• HVAC and air-handling systems
• CRAC/CRAH units
• Cooling towers
• BMS

Requirements:

• Mechanically qualified (trade or tertiary)
• Data centre experience not essential but commissioning experience in complex or critical environments.
• Your background could be in pharmaceutical, hospitals, airports, universities industrial facilities etc.
• Excellent documentational skills, strong communicator and technically minded.
• Must know how to present complex ideas to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and remain calm under pressure
• Full working rights in Australia, unfortunately sponsorship is not on offer for this role.
