Job summary

Mission Critical Recruitment in Melbourne is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to drive commissioning across data centre projects. You will plan, schedule, coordinate and execute full life cycle commissioning from early design through witness testing to handover, working on generators, UPS, PDUs, HV/MV and LV switchgear.

The ideal candidate is electrically qualified (trade or tertiary) with commissioning experience in complex or critical environments and strong documentation and

Electrical Commissioning Engineer - Data Centres - Melbourne

MCR are recruiting a Electrical Commissioning Engineer to work on large, high profile data centre commissioning projects in Melbourne.

The nature of this role is to provide engineering and technical support to plan, schedule, coordinate and execute full life cycle commissioning of critical data centre facilities. You will be involved in all stages of commissioning, from early design, managing commissioning scripts, witness testing through to project handover.
You'll work across complex electrical systems including:

• Generators
• UPS Systems
• Power Distribution Units
• HV/MV Systems
• LV Switchgear

Requirements

• Electrically qualified (trade or tertiary)
• Data centre experience not essential butcommissioning experience in complex or critical environments.
• Your background could be in pharmaceutical, hospitals, airports, universities industrial facilities etc.
• Excellent documentational skills, strong communicator and technically minded.
• Must know how to present complex ideas to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and remain calm under pressure
• Full working rights in Australia, unfortunately sponsorship is not on offer for this role.
