Job summary

A leading waste management company in Western Australia is seeking a Trade Qualified Mechanical Team Leader. In this role, you will lead a team of up to 10 mechanics, oversee servicing, diagnostics, and repairs while ensuring safety and performance standards. You must have a Cert III in Heavy Vehicle or Mobile Plant Technology and 3-5 years' experience in a similar role. Job description

The Opportunity

• 70% on the tools / 30% leadership position
• Leading a team of up to 10 mechanics across day and night shifts
• Carry out servicing, diagnostics, breakdowns and hydraulic repairs
• Lead and mentor a team of mechanics and apprentices
• Support day-to-day workshop operations and handovers between shifts
• Drive safety, performance and continuous improvement

About You

• Trade qualified (Cert III in Heavy Vehicle or Mobile Plant Technology)
• 3–5+ year’s experience in a similar role
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to drive change
• Solid diagnostic and heavy vehicle repair experience
• HR/HC/MC and/or Forklift licence
• Background in transport, waste, mining or civil (desirable)
• Must be able to pass pre-employment medical and drug screen
