Job summary

North Vic Caravans in Wangaratta, VIC is seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis. You will maintain, repair and service caravans and recreational vehicles to high standards, ensuring customers have safe, reliable vehicles for their travels.

You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose faults with equipment, conduct safety checks, keep accurate records, and communicate timelines and costs to customers while complying with safety regulations and manufacturer

Qualifications

• A recognised mechanical qualification or apprenticeship in automotive or recreational vehicle mechanics.
• Proven experience working as a mechanic, preferably with caravans, motorhomes, or light commercial vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with proficiency in using mechanical tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, engine mechanics, brake systems, and suspension components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• A current driver's licence is essential.
• Experience with caravan-specific systems such as gas appliances, water systems, and axle maintenance is highly desirable.
