Job summary

Team Global Express in Mackay is seeking a Trade Qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic for a full-time permanent position. You will service and maintain heavy vehicles, diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, diesel systems, and related equipment in a modern workshop.

The role offers weekly tool and laundry allowances, fully supplied PPE, and training opportunities to develop your career. You will work with renowned brands like Mercedes, Kenworth, Volvo, Isuzu, Fuso, Hino and Freightliner.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic (minimum Certificate III).
• Proven experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated diagnostic investigation experience.
• Committed to safety in line with HSE policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Complete general servicing tasks on heavy vehicles.
• Diagnostics, repair and maintenance of mechanical, pneumatic, diesel systems, auto electrical, air conditioning and hydraulic repairs.
• Work in a modern workshop with top-of-the-line diagnostic equipment.
• Supportive management and ongoing training/development opportunities.

About the role

• Team Global Express is seeking a Trade Qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic in Mackay
• This is a Full Time Permanent Position
• The successful applicant will also be eligible for a weekly Tool Allowance & Laundry Allowance
• Complete general servicing tasks on Heavy Vehicles.
• The types of vehicles the team services include Mercedes Benz, Kenworth, Volvo, Isuzu, Fuso, Hino and Freightliner.
• Diagnostics, repair and maintenance of mechanical, pneumatic, diesel systems, auto electrical, air conditioning and hydraulic repairs in accordance with requirements detailed on job cards.
• Supportive and collaborative management to ensure you are supported at all times
• Fully Supplied PPE
• Work at a Modern workshop with top of the line diagnostic equipment
• Develop your career with a variety of training and development options, both in house and through our suppliers

What you'll bring

• Proven experience in a similar role
• Possess a Trade Qualification as a Heavy vehicle Diesel Mechanic minimum certificate (III)
• Demonstrated ability working within a fast-paced environment
• Previous diagnostic investigation experience
• Be able to maintain a high degree of safety and in-line with HSE policies + procedures
• Be able to maintain quality and urgency in your work
