Job summary

Mackay Regional Council in Mackay, Queensland is seeking a MECC Cleaner to maintain high cleaning standards across venues such as The MECC and BB Print Stadium, with shifts that include early mornings, evenings and weekends. You will follow WHS procedures, operate commercial cleaning equipment and provide professional, customer‑focused service while rosters and safety requirements are observed.

A Blue Card is required, a QLD C class driver licence is preferred, and the role involves manual tasks

Qualifications

• Current Working with Children (Blue Card)
• QLD "C" Class Driver Licence
• Ability to work independently and stay motivated
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Able to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending and carrying
• Solid understanding of safe work practices and cleaning processes
• Previous cleaning experience in a commercial environment
• Experience using commercial cleaning equipment
• Good communication skills and ability to interact with a diverse range of people

As a MECC Cleaner, you'll help maintain high cleaning standards across venues such as The MECC & BB Print Stadium.

Working to a roster that includes early mornings (as early as 6:00am), evenings and weekends, you'll deliver consistent, high-quality cleaning services while upholding workplace health and safety requirements.
