Tasman Butchers in Melbourne seeks Meat Service Assistants to focus on customer service and supporting store operations. You will be the first contact for customers and help run the store efficiently.

The role requires a proactive, positive attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with weekends and afternoon shifts. Experience in fresh food retail is desirable, with opportunities to grow within the team.

We're seeking customer service assistants to come on board with our strong team.

At Tasman Butchers, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service as the meat specialists. Our Meat Service Assistants are at the heart of our business, the first point of contact for our customers. They play a key role in creating a positive in-store experience.

We’re looking for genuine, pro-active individuals who bring a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a passion for customer service.

About the Role

As Meat Service Assistant, your focus will be our customer and supporting your team members run the store efficiently. You will be responsible for:

• Serving customers at the register in a friendly and professional manner.
• Preparing and packing fresh meat products.
• Replenishing and maintaining stock levels.
• Ensuring the store and display areas are clean, well-presented, and inviting.

What We’re Looking For

• Capable of working at a fast pace when trading gets busy.
• Excellent personal presentation.
• Ability to operate a sales/register system.
• A proactive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic.
• The ability to work well within a team.
• Experience in a fresh food or supermarket environment (desirable).
• The ideal candidate will offer the flexibility we want to run a busy retail store (including availability during weekdays, weekends, - including afternoons and closes).

Our store hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am - 6:00pm - Sat/Sun 8:00am - 5:00pm.
