Job summary

Meat Processing Centre in Childers and surrounds is hiring up to 50 Meat Production Workers. Start dates late Nov 2026 to Oct 2027, with assignments lasting about 9 months. Shifts across a 7-day roster, minimum 30 hours per week, 6.30am–3.30pm.

Casual Level 1 under the Meat Industry Award 2020 (MA000059). Random drug testing may occur. Tasks include processing, trimming, boning, packaging, labeling, palletising, and maintaining hygiene per food safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
• Able to perform physically demanding work and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Able to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Able to cope with changing work demands.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with supervisors and colleagues.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including shift work, weekends, and overtime if required

Responsibilities

• Hands on processing, trimming, boning, slicing and preparing meat products
• Package, label, and palletise meat products for storage and distribution.
• Manual handling tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving products.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment in accordance with food safety regulations
• Follow all directives from Team Leaders and Management.
