Job summary
Newly Weds Foods Australia & New Zealand is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Manager – Meat to drive profitable growth across meat processors and distributors across Australia. You will manage key accounts, identify opportunities and work with R&D to develop practical solutions that improve product quality and profitability.
The role requires strong meat-processing knowledge, a track record in technical sales, and the ability to lead plant trials and product demonstrations.
Qualifications
- 5–10 years’ experience in meat-processing industry
- Strong knowledge of coatings, seasonings, marinades, sauces
- Experience in customer-facing technical sales or NPD/R&D
- Proven ability to identify, develop and convert new business opportunities
- Experience managing key accounts and building relationships with senior stakeholders
- Strong commercial capability in sales planning, pricing, margins and forecasting
- Experience conducting plant trials, product demonstrations and process optimisation
- Knowledge of meat-processing operations (forming, batter, marination, yield optimisation)
- Strong communication and presentation skills translating technical info to commercial solutions
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel regularly
Responsibilities
- Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities across meat processors, manufacturers and distributors
- Deliver agreed sales, margin, volume and new-business targets
- Develop and execute strategic account plans for key customers
- Build trusted relationships with technical, operational, procurement and senior commercial stakeholders
- Apply specialist meat-processing knowledge to recommend practical customer solutions
- Partner with R&D to develop products aligned with customer needs
- Plan and support plant trials, demonstrations, scale-ups and launches
- Provide technical troubleshooting and process-optimisation support to customers
- Prepare customer proposals, tenders and commercial presentations
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide forecasts
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity in Australian meat sector
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver projects effectively
