Job summary

Stanbroke in Queensland is seeking skilled packaging operators to join our beef processing and distribution team. You will prepare cartons, pack products, weigh and verify items, seal and palletise for cold storage, and record production data in line with company procedures.

We look for candidates with AQF Certificate I or completion of secondary education, good safety and hygiene practices, physical fitness for repetitive tasks, and a reliable, team-oriented workstyle. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate I or completion of secondary education.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety, food safety and hygiene practices.
• Good physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive manual handling tasks.
• Reliable, detail-oriented and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cartons, bags, labels and other packaging materials for meat packing operations.
• Pack fresh and frozen beef products into bags, trays and cartons according to product specifications and customer requirements.
• Weigh, count and verify packaged meat products to ensure accurate quantities and compliance with production standards.
• Seal, label and palletise packaged meat products for cold storage and distribution.
• Record production information, including product weights, batch details and packaging records, in accordance with company procedures.
• Monitor packaging equipment to ensure correct fill levels, seal integrity and efficient production.
• Check the quality and availability of packaging materials and report any damaged or defective items.
• Clean and sanitise packaging equipment, workstations and containers, and comply with workplace health and safety, food safety and quality assurance requirements.
