Job summary

Service Stream’s Telecommunications Division is seeking an MDU Designer to deliver compliant FTTP designs for MDU projects under the nbn BAT and FFU programs.

You will apply knowledge of nbn design standards, FTTP architecture and in-building fibre deployment to support leadership, project delivery teams and field operations.

The role focuses on end-to-end development of Detailed Design Documents (DDD-M) and ensuring designs meet serviceability and program outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in nbn FTTP MDU design environments.
• Knowledge of nbn BAT and FFU program requirements.
• Familiarity with current nbn design standards, specifications and architecture.
• Telecommunications design across MDU fibre deployments.
• Experience with FIR reviews, pathway assessments and constructability validation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compliant, constructable FTTP MDU designs.
• Develop Detailed Design Documents (DDD-M).
• Ensure designs align with nbn standards and program outcomes.
• Support leadership, project delivery teams and field operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design and construction issues.
