Job summary

The Queen Elizabeth Centre in Victoria invites applications for a Part-Time Maternal & Child Health Nurse in the EPC Development Program. It is a 0.5 FTE, 24-week learning program across four clinical services at QEC, with rotations at Noble Park and Hastings sites.

Applicants should be a registered MCH nurse (Victorian registration) with RN/RM credentials and relevant family health expertise. The program fosters supervision, goal setting and professional development within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• RN and RM qualifications with Victorian registration.
• Up-to-date knowledge in family and child health, development and parenting.
• Ability to partner with parents to enhance parenting capacity.
• Experience facilitating group education and working with vulnerable families.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialised support, care and education to enhance families' parenting competencies.
• Improve parents' knowledge, skills and attitudes to meet children's health and development needs.
• Engage in rotations across four clinical programs at QEC: Residential, Day Stay, PASDS, and Intake.
• Participate in goal setting, reflective practice and supervision with a clinical mentor.
• Share Maternal and Child Health nursing experience with QEC clinicians.
