Job summary

Followmont Transport is seeking a hands-on Tug Driver / Yard Operator to join our Sydney operations team. You will safely position trailers, support freight movements and help keep the depot running efficiently in a busy yard environment.

You'll work closely with Fleet Controllers and the Operations team, performing forklift tasks, trailer prep and load restraint duties while maintaining strong safety practices and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current MC Licence verified.
• Current LF Forklift Licence verified.
• Previous transport yard or operational experience is preferred.
• Tug driving experience advantageous but not essential.
• Strong safety focus and attention to detail.
• Reliable attitude and ability to work within a team.
• Ability to pass a medical, drug & alcohol screen and criminal history check.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers in and out of loading/unloading areas using a tug.
• Coordinate trailer movements with Fleet Controllers and Operations.
• Operate a forklift to load, unload and stage freight.
• Assist with trailer preparation, load restraint, straps, gates and curtains.
• Support yard and operational activities as required.
• Occasionally relocate trailers and equipment around the depot.
• Follow all safety and compliance procedures.
