Job summary

Peninsula Grammar invites applications for a full-time Mathematics Teacher to join our Mathematics department for the 2027 academic year as 1.0 FTE leave coverage. The role involves delivering high-quality maths education to Years 7–10, regular assessment, and contributing to curriculum development.

Ideal candidates will have current VIT registration, relevant First-Aid/CPR and safety qualifications, and a passion for inspiring students in a caring school community on the Mornington Peninsula.

Qualifications

• Current VIT registration is mandatory.
• First-Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications are required.
• All staff must complete Child Safety training and Mandatory Reporting certification.

Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics to Years 7–10.
• Assess students and create tailored learning plans; use ongoing assessments to support learning.

The Role

Peninsula Grammar School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our Mathematics department. We are seeking an experienced and passionate educator.As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics education to our students.

This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position providing 1 year of leave coverage, commencing at the start of the 2027 academic year.

• Teach Maths across Years 7-10
• Assess students and create tailored learning plans; use ongoing assessments to support learning
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons; contribute to curriculum and resource development
• Track progress, give feedback, and provide extra support; submit reports on time
• Create an inclusive, supportive classroom; set high expectations for participation
• Improve teaching methods using feedback and data; engage in professional development and teamwork
