Qualifications

• SC1 Demonstrated expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to model teaching across literacy and numeracy.
• SC2 Demonstrated expertise in high impact teaching strategies and evaluating impact on student learning growth.
• SC3 Demonstrated ability to monitor and assess student learning and use data to inform teaching and provide feedback.
• SC4 Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills and ability to engage with school community.
• SC5 Demonstrated behaviours aligned with Department values and support for professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Ensure extension curriculum is rigorous and aligned with the Victorian Curriculum.
• Lead high-impact instructional practice for high-ability Mathematics students.
• Coordinate assessment processes for extension classes (pre-testing, progressive tasks, moderation, reporting).
• Facilitate PLT collaboration on advanced pedagogy, data analysis and improved student outcomes.
• Oversee data collection (PAT, NAPLAN, pre-testing) to identify high-ability students and monitor progress.
• Lead strategies to strengthen VCE pathways and improve results.
• Lead professional learning for staff in enrichment pedagogy and challenging learners.
