Job summary

PACCAR Australia is seeking a proactive Material Planner to support production schedules by ensuring locally sourced parts are available. You will work with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to keep operations running smoothly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities include expediting overdue orders, resolving shortages, and driving improvements across planning and inventory processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in Material Planning, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Logistics.
• Manufacturing experience highly regarded.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage material supply to meet production requirements.
• Monitor and expedite overdue purchase orders and deliveries.
• Investigate and resolve material shortages and supply issues.
• Liaise with suppliers and participate in supplier review meetings.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and investigate stock discrepancies.
• Review safety stock levels and order quantities.
• Manage defective, surplus, and obsolete inventory as required.
• Support stocktake activities and inventory control processes.
• Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, Quality, Engineering, and Logistics teams to resolve material-related issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across material planning and inventory management.
