Job summary

PACCAR is seeking a proactive Material Planner to join our Melbourne-based Supply Chain team. You will ensure locally sourced parts are available to support production schedules, working closely with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to keep operations running smoothly.

This role suits someone who enjoys problem-solving and has a continuous improvement mindset, with experience in MRP/ERP systems and advanced Excel. A great opportunity within a leading heavy vehicle manufacturer.

Qualifications

Experience in Material Planning, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Logistics.
Manufacturing experience highly regarded.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

Plan and manage material supply to meet production requirements.
Monitor and expedite overdue purchase orders and deliveries.
Investigate and resolve material shortages and supply issues.
Liaise with suppliers and participate in supplier review meetings.
Maintain inventory accuracy and investigate stock discrepancies.
Review safety stock levels and order quantities.
Manage defective, surplus, and obsolete inventory as required.
Support stocktake activities and inventory control processes.
Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, Quality, Engineering, and Logistics teams to resolve material-related issues.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across material planning and inventory management.
