Job summary

Questas Group is seeking a Master Data Analyst to join our head office in Norwest, NSW. You will partner with business users and IT to capture, analyse and document master data requirements and drive data quality across items, customers and vendors.

You will define data mappings for the Infor LN migration, support Semarchy configurations, document processes and governance, and provide training materials to users across the group.

About the Opportunity

We are currently looking to recruit a Master Data Analyst to join our team in our Head Office based at Norwest, NSW.

The responsibilities of this role will include:

• Consult with business users, process owners and technical teams across Questas operating companies to gather, analyse and document requirements for master data processes and system changes.
• Investigate existing processes, procedures and system practices for items, customers and vendors, identifying inefficiencies, control gaps and duplication, and recommending improved workflows, validation controls and system functionality.
• Develop and provide business requirements to Semarchy developers on an ongoing basis to guide system configuration, covering field definitions, business rules, matching criteria and workflow requirements.
• Analyze master data quality issues and define and implement cleansing, validation, standardization, matching and de-duplication rules for item, customer and supplier data across operating companies.
• Develop and maintain master data structures and process documentation, including naming conventions, governance rules, process flows, ownership responsibilities and maintenance controls across Company systems.
• Analyze and document business and functional requirements for the design, implementation and ongoing improvement of the Company’s MDM solution, working with internal teams, system developers and external consultants.
• Define and document data-mapping, validation and business requirements for the Infor LN migration and rollout, validate and reconcile migration results, and work with ERP and business teams to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare user manuals, process guides, operating procedures and training materials, and provide guidance to system users.
• Act as a central reference for MDM and ERP master data processes, maintaining requirements, decisions, issues and change requests while supporting ongoing system improvements.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will ideally possess the following attributes:

Knowledge or, and experience with Master Data

Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in a relevant field i.e. information technology, computer science, or business information system

Technical expertise in financial module of the ERP system.

Technical knowledge of accounting principles and standards.

Highly developed problem solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This position will attract a salary between $80,000 to $85,000 per annum, commensurate with your qualifications, experience and accomplishments.
