MDC Campers and Caravans is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to own the brand, marketing direction and the internal team responsible for bringing it to life. You will lead brand storytelling, product launches, retail promotions and customer communications across all major touchpoints.
Reporting to the General Manager - Commercial & Product, you will translate strategy into campaigns, content and experiences, collaborate with the website, CRM and digital performance function, and
OWN THE BRAND. LEAD THE TEAM. SHAPE WHAT COMES NEXT.
MDC Campers and Caravans (MDC) is looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to take genuine ownership of our brand, marketing direction and the team responsible for bringing it to life. This is not a narrow channel role. You will be responsible for how MDC presents itself to the market, the stories we tell, how our products are launched, how our campaigns come together and how our customers experience the brand across every major touchpoint. You will lead an established internal marketing capability spanning graphic design, video production, social and community content, while coordinating closely with our website and CRM resources and working side by side with our dedicated Digital Performance Manager.
We have the products. We have the people. We have the national footprint. We are looking for the person who can bring it all together around a clear brand direction.
MDC Campers and Caravans is a 100% Australian family-owned and operated business, founded in Queensland in 2005. MDC started with camper trailers and has grown over more than 20 years into one of Australia's leading RV brands, with products spanning camper trailers, hybrids, touring caravans and extreme off-road caravans. Today, MDC operates across Australia and the United States through brands including MDC Campers and Caravans, AUSRV, Gold Class Caravans and MDC USA, supported by more than 200 people and a broad retail, dealer, service and owner network. But despite the growth, a lot of our DNA has stayed the same.
We are a product-led business.
We listen to our customers.
Our people actually use the products we sell.
We attend shows, launches, customer events and MDC Musters.
We believe the strongest marketing comes from understanding the product, the customer and the lifestyle, then telling that story properly.
Reporting to the General Manager - Commercial & Product, the Marketing Manager will own the overall marketing and brand direction for MDC. At the heart of the role is brand leadership. You will need to understand what MDC stands for, who our customers are, why our products matter and how we should position the brand in an incredibly competitive market. Then you need to turn that direction into action. That includes major national campaigns, product launches, retail promotions, video and content strategy, social media, showroom marketing, caravan shows, customer communications, website content, CRM campaigns and the ongoing development of the MDC brand. You will also lead and develop the people responsible for executing that work. This role requires someone who can see both the big picture and the detail. Someone who can establish a campaign strategy in the morning, review a model launch video in the afternoon and give a designer a better creative brief before the day is finished.
MDC is not selling an ordinary consumer product. Our customers are buying into weekends away, family holidays, remote travel, beaches, campsites, tracks, campfires and the freedom to explore. A great Marketing Manager at MDC needs to understand how to turn a product into a story. It is not enough to announce that a new caravan has launched. You need to understand why somebody should care. You will be responsible for setting that direction and then working with designers, videographers, content creators, social resources and the wider business to execute it. You do not need to personally edit every video or design every advertisement. You will need to recognise great creative work, know when something is not good enough and be able to clearly explain how to make it better.
We have deliberately separated brand leadership and marketing execution from digital performance and systems. Our dedicated Digital Performance Manager is responsible for areas including paid digital performance, analytics, attribution, SEO, CRM systems and workflows, automation, AI initiatives, lead flow and digital reporting. You will work closely together - the Marketing Manager owns the brand, campaign, creative, content and customer proposition. The Digital Performance Manager owns the data, systems, measurement and optimisation capability that helps us understand and improve performance.
For website and CRM activity, you will define what the customer needs to see, hear and experience, while working with the Digital Performance function on the technology, data and performance behind it. We want those disciplines working together, not competing with each other.
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys leading people.
Someone who sets clear priorities and expectations.
Someone who can give a good brief.
Someone who develops the people around them.
Someone who creates accountability without creating unnecessary layers and process.
Someone who can bring creative, content, social, website, CRM and digital specialists together around one clear marketing direction.
This is not a role where you sit outside the team and simply approve work. You will be in it with them.
This is a significant marketing leadership role inside an established Australian business that is continuing to invest and grow. You will have access to:
There is no shortage of things happening here. New products. New campaigns. New technology. Shows. Musters. Content trips. Retail activity. Partnerships. Customer stories. For the right marketer, that is the opportunity.
We are not looking for someone to simply maintain the MDC brand. We want someone who wants to lead it. If you have the experience, judgement and energy to take ownership of an established Australian brand, lead a capable team and help shape the next chapter of MDC, we would like to hear from you. Apply through SEEK with your resume and a cover letter telling us why you believe you are the right person for the role.
All applications will be treated confidentially.
