Job summary

MDC Camper Trailers & Caravans is seeking a Production Supervisor for campers and caravans in Brisbane. The role reports to the Production Manager and focuses on supervising a production area to meet safety, quality and output targets.

You will leverage production reporting to identify where change is needed, coach leaders and team members, and implement practical improvements with measurable results.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in manufacturing, assembly, or warehousing/logistic.
• Confidence leading teams through change and driving accountability.
• Strong organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use production metrics to identify problems and improvements.
• Proficient with spreadsheets and reporting systems.
• Initiative to improve safety, quality and efficiency with follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities and be responsible for team output.
• Record and report production metrics, including targets and downtime.
• Explain shortfalls and implement corrective actions.
• Coach Section Leaders, provide feedback and manage performance.
• Maintain safe work practices and address hazards.
• Identify improvement opportunities and measure results with the Production Manager.
• Communicate priorities, progress, and issues across the team.

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR - CAMPERS AND CARAVANS

MDC is a family-owned Australian business and a strong market leader in on-road and off-road caravans and camper trailers. We’re looking for a Production Supervisor who sees opportunities for improvement and has the practical leadership skills to turn ideas into lasting change.

About the role

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will oversee your production area and support Section Leaders and team members to meet safety, quality, and output targets. You will have the opportunity to challenge existing processes, strengthen team capability, and work with management to deliver measurable improvements.

You will use accurate production reporting to identify where change is needed and measure its impact. Your ability to connect team performance, production data, and practical action will be central to success in this role.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading daily production activities and taking responsibility for your team’s output.
• Recording and reporting production metrics, including output against targets, labour hours, downtime, quality issues, and rework.
• Explaining shortfalls and following through corrective actions.
• Coaching Section Leaders and team members, providing feedback and managing performance.
• Maintaining safe work practices and addressing hazards.
• Identifying improvement opportunities, implementing practical changes, and measuring results with the Production Manager.
• Communicating priorities, progress, and issues clearly across the team.

About you

• Australian work rights and a current, clean driver’s license.
