Job description

THE COMPANY

Our client is a multidisciplinary surveying and geospatial services business supporting major construction, infrastructure and essential-services projects across Australia.

As the business continues to grow, they are looking for a Marketing Specialist to take ownership of their marketing and help build and strengthen the brand.

THE ROLE

This is a hands-on, standalone marketing role reporting directly to the GM, with responsibility for managing a broad range of marketing activity across the business.

You’ll be responsible for developing and delivering marketing initiatives that build brand awareness, showcase the company's people, projects and services, and support the continued growth of the business.

This is a varied role spanning digital marketing, social media, content, brand, communications and marketing collateral, with the opportunity to have real ownership and make a visible impact.

You’ll work closely with senior leadership and operational teams across the business, as well as external suppliers and agencies where required. The role will also involve getting out to project sites to understand the work being delivered and capture content and stories that bring the business to life.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and deliver the overall marketing activity and calendar across the business.
  • Manage digital marketing activity including website, social media, email and online campaigns.
  • Create and coordinate engaging content across social, digital and print channels.
  • Develop content to showcase the company's people, projects, services, capabilities and success stories.
  • Visit project and client sites to capture photography, video and content where required.
  • Manage the company's social media channels, including content planning, creation and scheduling.
  • Coordinate photography, videography and other creative content, working with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Manage and update website content, project profiles, case studies and company news.
  • Support SEO and ongoing digital marketing initiatives.
  • Manage and monitor paid digital campaigns across platforms such as LinkedIn, Meta and Google.
  • Track marketing activity and campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Develop marketing collateral including capability statements, presentations, brochures, proposals and other materials.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all marketing and communications.
  • Support tenders, submissions and business development initiatives.
  • Work closely with operational teams to identify marketing opportunities, stories and projects to promote.
  • Coordinate external agencies, suppliers and creative partners where required.
  • Support internal communications, employer branding and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Identify new opportunities to improve the company's marketing presence and continually strengthen the brand.
ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on marketing all-rounder who is comfortable taking ownership and getting involved across all areas of marketing.

You will have:

  • 4–5+ years' experience in a broad marketing role.
  • Previous experience within construction, property, real estate, industrial, engineering, surveying, infrastructure or a related industry is essential.
  • Strong understanding of B2B marketing and the ability to communicate technical products, services and projects in an engaging way.
  • Experience across digital marketing, social media, content, brand and communications.
  • Strong content creation skills, with experience across photography, video and social media.
  • Experience managing and updating websites and digital channels.
  • Experience with paid digital marketing across platforms such as LinkedIn, Meta and/or Google.
  • Strong written communication and copywriting skills.
  • Experience creating marketing collateral, presentations, capability statements and other branded materials.
  • Good understanding of branding and the importance of maintaining a consistent brand across multiple channels.
  • Experience working with external agencies, suppliers and creative partners.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with senior stakeholders and operational teams.
  • A proactive, commercial and solutions-focused approach.
  • A current driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who takes ownership, is comfortable working autonomously and enjoys being hands-on. You won't be sitting behind a desk waiting for a brief, you'll be out in the business, meeting people, understanding projects and looking for opportunities to tell the company's story and support its growth.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Marketing Specialist who wants genuine ownership, variety and the opportunity to make a real impact within a growing business.
