Job summary

Apunipima Cape York Health Council in Cairns, QLD, seeks a Marketing, Communications and Events Officer. The role balances office work with coordinating events across Cairns and Cape York, including travel for FIFO/community events. You will support campaigns, content development, and promotional activities for diverse audiences.

The ideal candidate has content creation skills, Adobe Suite proficiency, and experience delivering events with strong stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience creating written and visual content for diverse audiences, preferably Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities.
• Experience planning and delivering successful events and managing event briefs.
• Ability to develop promotional campaigns and promotional content for internal/external audiences.
• Familiarity with social media platforms as engagement tools and promotional channels.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and content creation tools; photography/videography skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate events across Cairns and Cape York, including travel arrangements.
• Develop and support promotional campaigns and content for campaigns and reports.
• Contribute to content creation and reporting for Marketing and Communications.
• Support community-led events and maintain the events calendar across centres.
