Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
Agri Talent Pty is seeking a commercially focused market development lead to establish new markets for subsurface drip irrigation in Victoria and southern NSW. You will engage growers, dealers and partners, building a market presence from the ground up and coordinating trials to prove value.
You do not need to be a qualified agronomist; however, deep knowledge of broadacre farming and proven sales or BD success are essential. Flexible, field-based work with regular travel supports growth.
Our client is an established international irrigation business with a strong Australian presence and a reputation for helping growers improve productivity and water efficiency. Backed by global research, technical expertise and an extensive dealer network, the business is looking to expand its footprint in Australia's broadacre sector. This presents an opportunity to help introduce proven irrigation technology to new cropping markets and contribute to the company's next stage of growth.
This is a commercially focused opportunity for someone who understands broadacre agriculture and knows how to turn relationships and market opportunities into business. Working across Victoria and southern NSW, you will be responsible for establishing new markets for subsurface drip irrigation, initially targeting maize and lucerne production.
Rather than managing an existing customer portfolio, you will identify opportunities, engage growers and industry partners, and develop a market presence from the ground up. Reporting to the Director of Agronomy, Product and Market Development, you will work closely with regional sales teams and technical specialists to build demand and support long-term commercial growth.
Your duties will include (but not be limited to):
You don't need to be a qualified agronomist to succeed in this role. We're particularly interested in candidates with strong broadacre industry experience, proven sales or business development skills, and the confidence to establish new commercial opportunities.
You may currently work in agricultural sales, account management, business development or a commercially focused agronomy role. What matters most is your understanding of broadacre farming, your ability to connect with growers and your track record of developing business.
To be considered for the role, you must be able to address the following criteria:
Practical agricultural experience and demonstrated commercial ability will be highly valued. Experience with irrigation systems, agricultural technology or on-farm demonstrations would be advantageous, although product-specific training and technical support will be available.
You will have the freedom to develop your own approach, build industry relationships and play a significant part in growing the company's Australian broadacre operations. The position is remote and field-based, offering flexibility to manage your territory and schedule. Regular travel throughout Victoria, Tasmania and southern NSW will be required.
In addition to the scope and autonomy of the position, other benefits include:
