Qualifications

• 10+ years proven experience in an engineering role within defence or maritime shipbuilding or automotive projects.
• Knowledge of naval vessel / automotive design standards and government project documentation.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement.
• Familiarity with design software and simulation tools used in shipbuilding environments.
• Proactive with strong commercial aptitude and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and test electrical and control system designs across the Electrical and Control Systems scope.
• Meet daily with the systems integration team to remove roadblocks.
• Create wiring routing tables, plant load analyses and wire sizing.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to integrate design scope.
• Review 3D models and 2D drawings for compliance with standards.
• Provide mentorship and promote collaboration within the team.
