Job summary

Volvo Penta is seeking a Training & Technical Support Specialist for the Marine segment. This full‑time role is based at our Yatala facility in Queensland, Australia, and covers the helm‑to‑prop value chain.

You will develop, deliver and maintain technical training across marine products, training dealers, OEMs, fleet customers and internal teams. You will tailor global materials to local needs, manage training records and budgets, and collaborate with our Marine Parts & Services team.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in marine engineering or heavy automotive disciplines.
• Experience in workshop training and instructional design.
• Experience with warranty systems and customer-focused delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver and evaluate technical training programs covering marine systems.
• Conduct training for Dealers, OEMs, key customers and internal teams.
• Assess participants’ competence and provide structured feedback.
• Adapt global materials to meet local needs and objectives.
• Manage training records, certifications and progression through the framework.
• Organise infrastructure and materials for training activities.
• Develop and manage training budgets and calendars.
