Job summary

Journey Beyond seeks a Pontoon Engineer to join its Marine team on a permanent full-time basis. The role focuses on maintaining Reefworld and Heart Pontoons safely and efficiently, while following GRMPA, AMSA, SMA and Journey Beyond standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong marine engineering knowledge, safety focus, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences on the water, with relevant qualifications and a proactive safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of marine engines and systems.
• Experience with pontoon maintenance and diesel generators.
• Proven track record in risk assessments and safety measures for guests.
• Strong customer service and safety focus at sea.

Responsibilities

• General upkeep of pontoons.
• Adherence to marine safety and maintenance compliance, ensuring training up to date.
• Maintenance and operation of pontoon generators and engines.
• Record defects and ensure timely maintenance requests.
• Customer service and product delivery with hospitality team.
• Interactive use of HELM and timely upkeep of maintenance requests.
