Job summary

SeaLink WA seeks an experienced Marine Manager to lead the safe, reliable operation of Perth's Transperth ferry service and oversee vessel maintenance, safety, and crew leadership. Qualifications

  • Master V and MED 2 qualifications (minimum).
  • Mechanical knowledge and practical maintenance experience.
  • Senior First Aid qualification (desirable).
  • Sound understanding of AMSA legislation and marine regulatory compliance.
  • Experience using maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead marine operations, crew management and rostering.
  • Ensure safe, reliable and on-time ferry services.
  • Oversee vessel maintenance programs, surveys and AMSA compliance.
  • Drive proactive maintenance strategies to improve reliability.
  • Manage operational budgets and financial performance.
  • Build strong relationships with the Public Transport Authority and contractors.
