Job summary

SeaLink WA seeks an experienced Marine Manager to lead the safe, reliable operation of Perth's Transperth ferry service and oversee vessel maintenance, safety, and crew leadership. You will work with a seasoned marine team to support Perth's transition to electric ferries and ensure contracts are delivered with exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Master V and MED 2 qualifications (minimum).
• Mechanical knowledge and practical maintenance experience.
• Senior First Aid qualification (desirable).
• Sound understanding of AMSA legislation and marine regulatory compliance.
• Experience using maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead marine operations, crew management and rostering.
• Ensure safe, reliable and on-time ferry services.
• Oversee vessel maintenance programs, surveys and AMSA compliance.
• Drive proactive maintenance strategies to improve reliability.
• Manage operational budgets and financial performance.
• Build strong relationships with the Public Transport Authority and contractors.
