Job summary

The Andersen Partnership is recruiting a Financial Controller for a manufacturing group with sites in Sydney. This hands-on role reports to the CEO and partners with the Group Finance team to drive financial performance and reporting.

You will own month-end close, cash flow management, and balance sheet reconciliations, while supporting commercial decision-making and continuous process improvement across the manufacturing function.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA fully qualified.
• Experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager.
• Strong financial accounting and management reporting experience.
• Solid understanding of cash flow, working capital and financial controls.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong commercial judgement.
• Manufacturing, industrial or inventory accounting experience is highly desirable.
• Comfortable working autonomously in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day finance function, including month-end close and management reporting.
• Prepare financial analysis, commentary and budget versus actual reporting.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, AP, AR and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Monitor manufacturing costs, inventory and WIP.
• Identify financial risks, control weaknesses and process improvement opportunities.
• Work closely with the CEO and operations team to support commercial decision-making.
• Provide regular financial reporting and insights to the Group CFO and Corporate Finance team.
