Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group is seeking a Manufacturing Automation - CI Engineer in Australia to drive productivity improvements across multiple sites. You will lead automation initiatives, collaborate with production, engineering, maintenance, IT and operations to reduce bottlenecks and optimize design-to-manufacture workflows for doors and related components.

The role emphasizes practical implementation of automation, lean manufacturing, and data-driven improvements, including CNC, sheet-metal processing,

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing leadership or continuous improvement.
Tertiary qualification in engineering with a manufacturing orientation.
Lean or CI qualifications – CERT IV or DIPLOMA preferable.
Continuous improvement knowledge and demonstrated project experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Improve productivity, capacity, and process flow.
Implement lean manufacturing and CI initiatives.
Lead projects from concept and business case to implementation.
Manage capital equipment and technology projects.
Develop standardised DXF and CNC workflows and BOM integrity.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, and logistics.
