Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group is seeking a Manufacturing Automation - CI Engineer for our Cheltenham, Vic operations. You will drive productivity improvements across multiple sites by applying automation, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement techniques while collaborating with production, maintenance, IT and engineering teams.

Key focus areas include CNC punching and laser fabrication, robotic welding, material handling, and data integration between CAD/CAM, ERP and shop floor equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing leadership or continuous improvement.
• Tertiary engineering qualification with manufacturing orientation.
• Lean or CI qualifications (CERT IV or Diploma preferable).

Responsibilities

• Improve productivity, capacity and process flow across manufacturing sites.
• Lead lean and continuous improvement projects from concept to implementation.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, IT and suppliers to deploy automation solutions.
• Develop standard processes for CNC, sheet-metal, welding, forming and material handling.
