Job summary

ASSA ABLOY in Melbourne is seeking a motivated Maintenance Fitter to join our team. Reporting to the Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor, you will maintain and improve a diverse range of manufacturing equipment, perform preventative maintenance, diagnose faults and support installation and commissioning projects.

You will work closely with production teams to enhance equipment performance, safety and efficiency, ensuring all work meets WHS and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter with manufacturing/industrial maintenance experience.
• Proven ability to diagnose mechanical faults and perform preventative maintenance.
• Experience with maintenance management systems and documentation.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve a diverse range of manufacturing equipment, facilities and infrastructure.
• Complete preventative maintenance, inspections and condition monitoring to maximise uptime.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults, breakdowns and equipment reliability issues.
• Support machinery installations, relocations, upgrades and commissioning projects.
• Manufacture and repair tooling, jigs and fixtures to support production needs.
• Participate in shutdowns, continuous improvement initiatives and site projects.
• Work with production teams to improve equipment performance, safety and efficiency.
• Ensure all work complies with WHS, quality and maintenance requirements.
