Job summary

NorthStone Talent Partners in Sydney is seeking an Accountant to join the Finance team. You will report to the GL Accountant and contribute to accurate general ledger management and timely financial close.

Responsibilities include preparing monthly financials, managing fixed asset registers, bank reconciliations and assisting with PAYG, superannuation and payroll tax, as well as supporting annual tax and statutory reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional accounting experience.
• Hands-on general ledger responsibilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, keeping accounts accurate and reconciled.
• Drive the month-end and year-end close, including journals for accruals, prepayments, depreciation and amortisation.
• Prepare monthly financials (balance sheet, cash flow) with clear management commentary.
• Manage the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals and depreciation schedules.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and clear outstanding items promptly.
• Assist with PAYG withholding, superannuation guarantee and payroll tax reporting.
• Support the annual tax return and statutory reporting process.
