An excellent opportunity has opened up for an Assistant Accountant - and fluent Mandarin speaker - to join the Sydney office of a well-established international company. Reporting directly to the Head of Department, you'll play a key part in the day-to-day finance function, gaining broad exposure across accounting operations, reporting and governance in a banking environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing daily bank reconciliations and investigating any variances


• Processing expense reimbursements and managing expense invoices


• Monitoring expenditure against budget


• Processing accounts payable


• Preparing and posting manual journals


• Preparing daily balance sheet and P&L reports and investigating significant movements


• Maintaining the fixed asset register


• Supporting month-end reporting, reconciliations and Head Office reporting


• General filing and ad hoc tasks

About you

• Bachelor's degree in accounting


• 1-3 years of accounting experience
