Job summary

Brimbank City Council is seeking an accomplished senior leader to shape the future of regulatory and community safety services in Victoria’s large municipality. You will lead a multidisciplinary team and drive strategic outcomes, governance and regulatory excellence across Local Laws, Parking, Animal Management, and related areas.

The role requires strong financial and strategic management, advanced knowledge of regulatory frameworks, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes

Qualifications

Accomplished senior leader with a strong record of leading complex regulatory, compliance or public sector service environments.
Demonstrated strategic thinking, good judgement and ability to influence outcomes across diverse stakeholders.
Experience with local government, government, or similarly complex environments.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership of regulatory, compliance and public health services to support community safety, amenity and wellbeing.
Lead organisational reform, service improvement and contemporary, risk-based regulatory practices.
Balance community expectations, legislative obligations, risk management and priorities while guiding a high-performing team.
