• Support the creative direction and execution of innovative product design across key customer touchpoints within the aviation environment.
• Apply Design Thinking and Human-Centred Design to deliver high-quality solutions that elevate the customer experience and align with Qantas’ brand values.

The Manager, Product Design will support the Head of Spatial and Product Design in leading innovation, creative direction, and execution of advanced product design across multiple physical customer experience touchpoints within the aviation environment.

In this role, you will bring your Design qualifications or equivalent experience to collaborate with internal and external partners in delivering innovative and high-quality product design solutions. By applying Design Thinking and Human-Centred Design practices, you will ensure that customers are at the forefront of all product innovations, in line with Qantas’ core values and objectives.

You’ll Have

• 8+ years' experience in product design and innovation, ideally for the airline/aviation industry or related field.
• Strong background in Design Thinking and Human-Centred Design practices.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
• Strong verbal, written, and visual communication and collaboration skills working with internal and external partners and stakeholders.
• Experience in managing design teams and projects from concept to implementation.
• Proficient in 2D and/or 3D design software applications (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, SolidWorks) for creating product designs and visual representations.
