Job summary

ElectraNet in Adelaide seeks a Manager Network Strategy to lead the strategic economic modelling capability and drive techno-economic analysis informing major network investment decisions.

You will oversee a team of modelling specialists, shape long-term demand and congestion forecasts, and partner with senior leaders to influence regulatory processes and investment planning for South Australia's energy transition.

The Opportunity

As Manager Network Strategy, you will lead ElectraNet's strategic economic modelling capability at a pivotal time in South Australia's clean energy transition. This role is responsible for shaping the long-term future of the transmission network through advanced techno-economic modelling of demand, congestion forecasting, and evidence-based investment planning. Leading a team of modelling specialists, you will provide trusted advice to senior leaders and play a key role in developing economic business assessments that inform major network investment decisions and regulatory processes. You have a proven track record leading high-performing technical teams, driving continuous improvement and successfully guiding people through change. Combining strong commercial acumen with exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, you can translate complex modelling outcomes into clear business recommendations. You thrive in collaborative environments and are motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the transition towards a cleaner and more sustainable energy future.

Key skills and experience

• Extensive experience in network modelling and techno-economic analysis.
• Strong knowledge of the renewable energy sector and the national electricity market.
• Demonstrated leadership experience developing and mentoring technical teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and commercial decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of AEMO's Integrated System Plan and the AER's Cost Benefit Guidelines will be highly desirable.
