Job summary

Compass Group Pty Limited in Perth, WA is seeking an experienced leader to manage ESS operations across large-scale accommodation villages for remote works. You will build strategic client relationships, oversee contract retention, drive service improvements, and lead safety, sustainability, and financial performance.

The role requires strong leadership, HSEQ knowledge, and the ability to align culinary, retail, and facilities services to maximise client satisfaction and commercial results.

• Significant industry leadership experience (minimum 4-5 years).
• Strong understanding of HSE principles and workplace legislation.

ESS Manages all aspects of large-scale accommodation facilities or “villages” for remote works, providing the essential comforts such as a hot meal, a clean bed, freshly laundered workwear to health and wellness facilities for those working away from home.

THE POSITION

Client & Business Management

• Build and maintain strategic client relationships.
• Conduct regular business reviews and manage contract retention plans.
• Drive client satisfaction through service improvements and innovation.
• Support sales, tender activities, and business growth opportunities.
• Oversee subcontractor performance and compliance.

Commercial & Retail Performance

• Improve service quality through customer feedback and satisfaction surveys.
• Develop retail and merchandising strategies to maximise sales and profitability.
• Manage Bar & Retail P&L performance through pricing and commercial reviews.
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue, volume, and margins.

Financial Management

• Lead budget preparation and financial performance reviews.
• Achieve budget targets and control operating costs.
• Ensure accurate client billing and debtor management.
• Drive cost control initiatives and continuous improvement.

Leadership & People Management

• Collaborate and influence across operational and support teams.
• Foster a positive workplace culture.
• Support employee development, retention, performance management, and recognition.
• Promote diversity and inclusion.

Safety, Compliance & Sustainability

• Champion Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) standards.
• Ensure compliance with legislative and organisational requirements.
