Job summary

James Cook University (JCU) invites applications for the role of Manager, Centre Research Training. This part-time, fixed-term position (4 days per week) supports the ARC Centre of Excellence for Indigenous and Environmental Histories and Futures, based at the Cairns Nguma-bada campus with flexible location arrangements for the right candidate.

You will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive Research Training and Ethics Program, mentor researchers, and coordinate HDR

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent qualification and substantial experience in tertiary education
• Experience in graduate research support, supervision or researcher development
• Strong leadership, mentoring and program management skills

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of the Research Training and Ethics Program across the ARC Centre of Excellence
• Oversee HDR internships, mentoring and professional development activities
• Collaborate with Centre colleagues, researchers, communities and partner organisations to build capability and career pathways
