Job summary

Automic Group is seeking a Manager, Finance Practice / Senior Accountant in Sydney to lead financial reporting for ASX entities and coordinate audits. The role involves IFRS/AASB compliant statements, month-end close, and board-level financial reporting.

You will work with accountants and secretaries across client projects, ensuring timely delivery of tax compliance and budgeting tasks. This position is based in Sydney and supports our growing advisory services.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing IFRS/AASB financial statements (annual and half-year reports).
• Ability to manage audits with external auditors to meet deadlines.
• Strong month-end close and P&L/cash flow analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial reporting compliance for ASX listed entities.

• Assist with payments, term deposits, and banking requirements.
• Collaborate with accountants and company secretaries for client services.

Responsibilities

Preparation of IFRS/AASB compliant financial statements, i.e. annual and half year reports for ASX listed entities, including Appendix 4D and 4E where applicable

Manage audit process and function between clients and external auditors to ensure timely completion to meet ASX and ASIC deadlines

Preparation of client’s month end accounts, including appropriate balance sheet reconciliation, P&L analysis, and cash flow statements

Preparation of Finance Reports for client Board meetings

Manage client’s tax functions and compliance obligations, including payroll tax, FBT, BAS/GST

Prepare and update budgets, review accounts payable, manage creditor process
