Job summary

Department of Education & Training, Victoria seeks a Manager, Editorial and Design within Assessment Development to lead a large editors and designers team, delivering high-quality VCE examinations and related materials.

You will oversee end-to-end editorial and design services, manage budgets, and build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, while ensuring timely delivery in a dynamic, secure environment.

Qualifications

• Essential: significant relevant experience in project management and a relevant tertiary qualification.
• Desirable: editing or publication project management experience; experience within education.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a high-performing team of editors and designers to deliver high-quality services.
• Oversee budgets, resourcing and people management responsibilities.
• Provide leadership in a dynamic environment with flexible prioritisation and deadlines.
• Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure work aligns with legislation and organisational requirements.
• Prepare high-quality briefs, reports and correspondence for senior leaders and governance forums.
