Job summary

The Victorian Government (Department of Education) seeks a Manager, Editorial and Design in the Assessment Division, VCAA, to lead editors and designers delivering VCE examinations and related materials.

Reporting to the Director, Assessment Development, you will manage a large team, oversee budgets and resourcing, and drive continuous improvement while collaborating with stakeholders across departments. This is an on-site role in Melbourne with flexible hours during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Essential: significant relevant experience in project management and a relevant tertiary qualification.
• Desirable: demonstrated experience in editing or publication project management; experience within education.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a high-performing team to deliver high-quality editorial and design services for VCE examinations and related materials.
• Drive continuous improvement and manage significant budgets, resourcing and stakeholder communications.
• Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes.
• Oversee end-to-end project management in a high-security environment to ensure timelines and quality standards are met.
