Job summary

Department of Education Victoria in Melbourne is seeking a Manager, Editorial and Design to lead a large team responsible for delivering high-quality assessment materials, including VCE examinations and related communications.

Reporting to the Director, Assessment Development, you will oversee budgeting, resourcing, and people management while maintaining a secure, high-performing workplace and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Significant relevant experience in project management.
• Desirable: editing or publication project management experience.
• Desirable: experience within education.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a high-performing team delivering high-quality editorial and design services.
• Oversee budget, resourcing and people management responsibilities.
• Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement in editorial and design processes and procedures.
• Prepare briefs, reports, and documentation for senior leaders and governance forums.
